This is Velut Luna s first blues album, authentically blues.
The Four Fried Fish, together with the Flyin Horns brass section, offer us a reading of the quintessential “black” genre, simultaneously classic and modern at the same time.
In fact, on the one hand the more traditional styles are absolutely respected, on the other the addition of musicians of jazz origin, such as the Flyin Horns, gives a particularly vigorous Funky&Jazzy polish.
Bassano del Grappa like Chicago? Maybe yes, listening to this band that finds its home on the banks of the Brenta, which for once becomes very similar to the Mississippi River.
The album features almost exclusively original compositions by the two band leaders Flamiano Mazzaron, guitar and vocals, and Fabio Ranghiero, piano. In this context, two covers stand out: the very famous ROLLIN STONE, with Marco Pandolfi as special guest on harmonica, and THREE COOL CATS, in which the persuasive voice of Tiziana Guerra and the groove of the Flyin Hornes colour this sparkling album with a Tex-Mex flavour.
